Red face 2004 Hurricane Composite

A satellite image of one hurricane is intimidating. This composite of 2004 images is historical. (Created from NOAA data by CIMSS, University of Wisconsin-Madison)

Hurricanes

Yeah, there were some days when I felt like they had all hit us at the same time!

Image resolution

It came from a Univ. of Wisconsin site. The image from the web isn't good enough to print and frame. But maybe I could get a higher resolution file to print after a little more processing.

dp - hope you are finding things Ok in TC. GTC was wonderful and very soon, back to normal.... tired of canes, but back to normal and ready for visitors.

Here is a source from some good hurricane posters. Not as large as your Abaco sat. posters (www.abacostuff.com), but a nice size and good resolutions: http://www.hurricanetrack.com/store.html And their 2004 hurricane DVD should be quite a view! Mark Suddath and pals are truly awesome.

examples:
Jeanne over the Bahamas
- http://www.hurricanetrack.com/jeanneposter1.html

Frances just west of my home (and your B & B, minus the breakfasts, during aftermath of Jeanne) - http://www.hurricanetrack.com/francesinland.html

Charley hitting Flyingdogs in Sanibel (if I can get to the post office, their Charley poster will be in the mail this week!) - http://www.hurricanetrack.com/charleyposter.html

Isabell bothering Abakimmy and Rod on the Outerbanks - http://www.hurricanetrack.com/isaposter.html

The Abacos are Not for Sissies. Neither is FLA these days!

Thanks for the link. That poster will be great with our wedding day photos (9-25-04) and abaco honeymoon pics.
