Rumors on a Bridge, Nippers and Sheik Abdula Frangipani of Dubai

I've heard rumors from different sources, that a tunnel is being planned connecting Abaco to Grand Bahama (or is it a bridge). Actually the prevailing attitude is a bridge as a tunnel might flood and fill with water during a hurricane. Anyway some Arab trilloinaire from Dubai is sponsoring the whole thing because he has a home in the Bahamas. This bridge is to be a trade off for resurrecting and rebuilding the refinery near Freeport. And as part of the plan, he wants to buy Old Bahama Bay for his entourage of 140 plus family of 9 wives, 32 children and 17 Grand children. This along with servants and Labrador Retrievers, a few Arabian Horses and a couple of well bread potcakes.

I also hear Sheik Abdula Frangipani of Dubai, is the mastermind and money behind the program. He has been known to sneak some pork ribs when in the Bahamas now and then, and has been known to have a Nipper or two. Sounds like a real fun guy. Fact is on a recent visit he decided to buy Nippers. Rumor has it that Sheik Abdula is a silent partner in the new ownership. He feels that if his identity was exposed, it might hurt the sale and business. To counter this, Johnny would remain for six years and all the gang would remain at two and a half times their previous salaries. Not Bad! Also Johnny would also get title to the land, rocks and tidal puddle on the beach behind Nippers for his dogs to swim.

What leads to some conjecture; Is the north Guana / Bakers Bay project. Is it his undertaking under the guise of others? Now that would make sense because folks could drive from Freeport to the Albury ferry station at Marsh using his new toll bridge (did I say mention toll?). Folks would stop along the way at Fox Town, Coopers Town etc helping the local economies.

All that remains to be seen, He also plans to bring back the "Big Red Boats" to Guana only painted in the national colors of Dubai?

If anybody has heard about this or can shed some light on the situation, please pass it along.

Merry Christmas

I believe he meant this as tongue in cheek. At least, I hope he meant it that way!

Might as well build a bridge from Treasure to Guana, Guana to Scotland , Scotland to Man O War and then Man O War to Hope Town and then Hope Town back to MH so we all can enjoy the race cars and makethe Abco 500

bridge

You're all thinking too small.

Let's go for a bridge from South Florida.

Merry Christmas to all

Only at the ....

....toll booths at either end. $15 Bahamian, CASH ONLY at the toll booths.
4000 lb weight limit....don't bring any veggies!

Only daytime crossing. May want to take an EPIRB and GPS in case you get lost on the bridge.
