What is the agenda. Do we think the power plant is a bad thing. If you can't say it is a bad thing on this site, use some kind of code to let me know.

Thanks

The meeting will be an open meeting with all people invited to attend and participate. That includes all Bahamians and Second homeowners and Visitors.
This is a time for all to hear from experts in the field of Alternative Power such as Cape Eleuthera Institute, Protecting our Environment and Conservation
and also the Power Plant and what to expect from the burning of fossil fuel like Bunker C or Diesel in the power plant. There will be experts in Emissions that have reviewed the EIA and can answer some of the questions we all have.

We hope to have an open discussion where we all can ask questions and get expert answers. If you are not able to attend, please feel free to send us an email with your question.

So bring your neighbors and friends to New Vision Ministries next Wednesday at 6pm.and spread the word. Please let us know if you will need transportation from the outlying Cays. We hope to see you all there.

Is this kind invitation extended to the Bahamian families of Spring City, Dundas Town, Murphy Town, Marsh Harbour,Crown Haven, Cooperstown, Crossing Rock, Sandy Point, the "real" Bahamas? These hard-working families need reliable. affordable power to keep their families functioning properly. Are the business owners in the hub of Marsh Harbour extended a kind invitation? They need to function with reliable, affordable power in order to service the touristic and local needs. Is this kind invitation extended to the Bahamians on the cays, whose lives and income depends on happy tourists and are tired of being on the "front line" of explaining-away with their super-power hosting skills, why the power is "barely ever current" and running out of funny and entertaining excuses? Can you tell us, without attending the meeting, what your recommendations are for a "real world" scenario on this issue? Cape Eleuthra is backed by long long American dollars. Do you have American dollars to lend to this issue? Will you be happy if Wilson City is converted to diesel instead of Bunker C? What will this change do to the average Bahamian family household? Clearly, the invitation to the meeting is open to everyone living in Abaco. Please, keep your personal opinons to yourself for the time being, and feel free to express them at meeting, not here on the message board where we attempt to keep politics at bay. Thank you for respecting our long standing policies.

Okay, some folks cannot keep their politics at bay, and I would like to sleep with peace tonight. This thread is closed until the morning. Thank you for understanding.
