Does anyone have any info on land sharing, is there any regulations or restrictions? I'm a 37 yrs old and have been to Abaco many many times. I would be very interested in co-buying land now to build a cottage in 3-5yrs. I can't afford to do it alone, so I thought possibly 2 or 3 others from the US would be interested in sharing the expense. Or even pool money to buy land and then sub-divide into equal shares. I'm not interested in a very big lot, as this will be a place where I don't want to spend all my time on up-keep. I'm thinking Guana or Lubbers with a view of sea of abaco.

I would contact a Bahamian realtor to find out , however, I do believe you will find that there can be restrictions on sub-dividing a lot.

The legal way to "sub-divide" a property is called Fractional Sharing. Very vogue. Check out yesterday's Wall Street Journal. mkr
