Arrived her a few days ago -- staying in a home in TC. Going Sunday for a week to Green Turtle. Any recommendations for great restaurants or groceries, what to do, etc. What would you recommend for a first timer here from NYCity. Appreciate any and all info. Best regards...George

Would that I could be there now also!
Recommended in no specific order:
Sundowners, Greent Turtle Club, Pineapples...
(for lunch or dinners.... each has entertainment on some nights. GTC is more expensive, but with a wonderfu bar. Sundowners and Pineapples have awesome views. All three have docks.)
Laura's Kitchen is also great for dinners. Excellent fried grouper and crached conch.
Just ask anyone for directions.
Diving or snorkling with Brendal is a must do. Walk the beach and swim/snorkle at BitaBay and Gillam Bay. Fish with Ronnie Sawyer. And don't miss one sunrise or nset!!!!!!!
Enjoy. GTC is truly a special place with friendly locals.
Don't forget to give us a full "trip report."

Rent a boat and head to the north end of Manjack (Munjack?) Cay. Absolutely the best beach (ocean side or Sea of Abaco side). This will give you an idea of what Bakers Bay use to look like before any development. An alternate would be to head to Guana and visit Bakers Bay before they start further development and visit Nippers while your there.

I agree with everything in previous posts, but in addition:
Rent a golf cart so that you can travel the Cay. Take a trip up the Atlantic side and beach-hop along the way. Gillam Bay is a must see, plus nice snorkeling off Bita Bay house and off of Coco Bay cottages on the Atlantic side. Coco Bay is also nice.
If you rent a boat and want to snorkel, get a copy of the mooring buoy locations (several shops in town have these) so you can find the good snorkel sites. The buoys protect the reefs from anchors.
Find out what nights the Gully Roosters are playing and where. On our previous visits, they have been Wed. night at Green Turtle Club on their outside patio deck.
Miss Emily's Blue Bee in New Plymouth is a must - home of the Goombay Smash.
Bluff House has good restaurants and bars.
Lincoln Jones has a nice fishing/snorkeling/beach picnic tour as well as Brendal that takes you up to Manjack (pronounced Munjack) if you don't want to rent a boat (fabulous food and rum punch!) - if you go, take your own water and beverages for the boat.
If you aren't renting a boat but would like to check out Guana, Brendal usually does a trip on Sunday for the Nipper's Pig Roast. This may be hard to arrange, tho, if you arrive on Sunday.
