Flights From Virginia

Anyone know who flys from Richmond Virginia to Treasure Cay or what connecting flights/Airlines are best?

There was a thread a while back on this so you may want to do a search of the forum. Generally, if you prefer to fly commercial airlines, try Orbitz or any of the other travel sites and see what carriers and routes they offer to Treasure Cay (TCB) or Marsh Harbour (MHH) airports from where ever you can get to in VA. You will most likely be routed through Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Palm Beach (PBI) or possibly Nassua, Bahamas. US Air no longer flies to the Abacos but may have a code share arrangement with Bahamas Air who flies out of PBI and FLL (I think, but make sure their not routing you through Nassua since that just addes one more layover). American flies to Abacos from Miami, Continental flies to Abacos from MIA, FLL and PBI. There are several charter companies that fly out of various cities in Florida (Orlando, Jacksonville, Daytona, etc) but they generally fly smaller planes with weight restrictions on luggage. I try to avoid MIA for personal reasons, PBI is laid out similar to other airports so is probably one of the easier to navigate through, FLL has seperate terminals for most airlines so you may have to exit and re-enter through security if changing airlines.
