Yes could someone please tell me what airlines would be the best economical for a party of 16, now I know that we will not all be able to travel together, but we need to get to Man o War over Xmas, from Florida, don't really care where from Fl, just cheapest way to go, I know that we will not be able to fly directly there, but need either Marsh Harbor or Treasure Cay, anyone with any suggestions,

The national carrier, Bahamasair, flies out of MIA, FLL and PBI. Check their website for itineraries. Some flights are direct to MHH, others through NAS, but planes are safe and large enough for your party, if the flights are not all booked by now.

American Eagle starts new service from Mia to Treasure Cay in Nov. that might be a good option for you, they might be offering deals to start the new service.

Bahamasair seems to be the cheapest as I did a quick check with Orbitz.
with a party of 16 - you may be better off chartering your own flight - look into it with Bahamas air first - they may book you your own flight.

If you have 8 people at one time i would check with Island Air Charters I have flown with them several times and they are awsome!!

If your final destination is MOW, don't fly into Treasure Cay. If you do, you'll be looking at some SERIOUS money to hire taxis to take you to the ferry dock in Marsh Harbour.

Let's assume you plan to travel over Christmas and spend a week on MOW. Bahamasair has a direct flight leaving out of West Palm Beach (PBI) to Marsh Harbour (MHH) on Sunday, Dec. 20, returning on Dec. 27. Price $295.20/pp. Continental is charging $319.00. The BA aircraft is big enough to handle your whole crew, provided there's still space available when you decide to book. Total cost would be $295.20 X 16 persons = $4723.20.

If you investigate chartering a plane, $4723 is your benchmark for comparison.

One caution. If you decide to purchase 16 tickets from any air carrier, you must make sure that the name on each ticket EXACTLY matches the name on their passport. You will also need to supply the carrier with the persons sex and DOB. (I recently purchased a plane ticket for my sister-in-law and put an extra "n" in her last name by mistake. They almost wouldn't let her fly!)

I spent 3 weeks on MOW in May and loved every minute. You're going to have a blast!
