Mary from Brendal's Dive Center sent an email with the information. She's working diligently on this project. Has had some other countries asking about the project. They are hoping they can work with them on more events such as the Lionfish Derby.

I saw the feature (and Brendal) tonight. It gave the background of Hurricane Andrew starting with 6 Lion Fish and finished on Green Turtle.

A couple weeks ago, snorkeling off of Matt Lowe Cay we saw the largest lionfish I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I did not have my spear so was not able to do anything about it. We were snorkeling right along the eastern shore between the entrance to the little harbor on Matt Lowe, and the southern end (at the cut). The fish was hugging the rocks, up under a ledge at medium low tide. The strangest thing was the angelfish that was acting as "bodyguard" and shadowing it. Wish I had gone back and killed it now! Maybe someone else will go back and get it.
