I have read many messages about Bahamas Air that have been far from complementary but just wanted to share my story. While we were in Guana I kept my purse in the outside part of my luggage (no lock). I didn't need to carry money. That's why I brought hubby along. When we were getting ready to leave I took my purse out of the luggage and put it in my carry on. I didn't realize that I had taken my credit cards out of my purse and left them in the luggage. When we got to West Palm I looked into my wallet and no cards!. Needless to say I almost had a heart attack. Then I remembered about the purse being in the luggage. I checked the outside of my luggage and everything was still there. Nothing was stolen. You hear so many bad stories about airlines taking things from luggage, I just wanted to pass on this story. Thanks Bahamas Air for hiring honest people.

Nice to hear. Thanks for sharing. Our one experience with them was a good one. Reason we didn't use them again was because it was difficult to coordinate.

Have used them a goodly number of times. Only problem is a piece or two of luggage may get left behind. It usually shows up the next day, no biggie.

my teenage son left his passport......duh..in the seat pocket of a flight from Nassau- Marsh Harbour......
I was able to call and speak to the ground crew who searched not only the plane he was on ..but checked the terminal[ i am serious...]
It turned out a stewardess , who is obliged to check seat pockets and seats even as the flight quickly turns over from MH- Nassau
handed it to ground staff in Nassau they knew of my call and we got it back the next day...you have no idea what it like to replace a Bahamian passport with a US visa and a Canadian visa....so for me I will always go with my national carrier
