Looking for info on the Green Turtle Club. Has anyone stayed in a Villa? Is there enough water there for a 31' center console? Overall what did you think of the resort?

Thanks

Plenty of water for your boat. Never stayed overnight there though.
REally nice place! It is in the very back of the sound coming in by boat.

Stayed at a villa numerous times sometimes with my boat that I brought over 26 Glacier Bay Cat. Sometimes with family.

Be sure to tie with stern out anchored. Parallel wont work at low tide and besides someone in the other half of the villa might want to rent a boat.

Be sure to ask for a harbour side villa - nicer view.

PS will be there in June myself.

I went with a room and a slip. They said I would probably make it but, could not assure that I would make it to the dock.

See you there. Vessel name is SHAKA. Stop by and say hi.

food was terrific, and love the bar there.
we had the 40' Moorings cat there for 2 nights.
they offerend a food credit for what your dock fees were, so that was nice.

Arriving GT on the 8th for a few days before heading to HT for a few more. Short trip this time. Had to squeeze it in between DJ commitments and family memorial etc etc.

And because air connections from Sarasota are impossible and Tampa require an overnight in one direction - Yes, an overnight in Lauderdale!,,, a drive across the state is in order.

Shaka - Since you were planning to keep your boat at the villa, you didn't plan any hookups - Yes? Well, thats half the cost of a slip at the marina.
Sometimes, and I dont know how this works, But the three or four slips in front of the dining area are usually free if staying there other than a villa. They should accommodate a 31 footer if not too beamy. You might want to look into that.
