Much as I hate to ask ANYTHING about leaving the beloved Abacos, we are hoping to make a crossing late this week and are wondering if anyone has a suggested EASY port of entry. Know West Palm's is pretty user friendly? Anything further north? ie has anyone done the Jacksonville POE? Thanks!

If you do not have one of the new customs cards, (each crew member must have their own), then you must call customs to clear, hopefully you have a customs decal, after that if you are south of Sebastian inlet you have 24 hours to physically present yourself to an immigration officer, which depending on you entry location can be a pain to find! If you clear in north of Sebastian you usually are not required to physically present yourselves to immigration. Now that I have confused you, all this changes if you have a foriegn national aboard. Depending on their passport and visa this can get sticky. All of this is subject to change depending on the whim of the first customs agent you contact on the phone. The number is in all your curising guides. All that said, if your destination is further up the coast I would stay offshore for as long as possible, it is beautiful this time of year and you will save a lot of time!
