Hey all!

I'm tired of the grind of "work" in the continental United States, and I'm ready to do work in the Abacos! My family have been semi-locals in Man-O-War Cay since the late 70's and have a house on Dickies Cay. I've been traveling to the beautiful Abacos for all of my life (26 to be exact) and I'm ready to stay down there for good!

What do you folks know of any employment opportunities in the Abaco area? I have a degree from the University of Arizona in sociology, but I will say I am not limiting myself to just sociology! I have significant work experience, and my housing in the Abacos as I stated before would be taken care of...

Hopefully something will come of this post and I look forward with great anticipation to any leads you folks may have!

Thank you and have a wonderful day!;)

If you've been in the Abacos that long then I assume you know that jobs for non-Bahamians are hard to come by. You really cannot hold a job that a Bahamian could fill. That being said, I do have friends that have found jobs down there, most of them in the education field. But it's not easy.
