We are staying several days on Guana this March for The Barefoot Man concert at Nippers. 'Our 2nd BFMan concert but very first time staying on Guana - (ParrottMon, I know we're really venturing out now . . . first TC, then Elbow, then Marsh Harbour and now Great Guana Cay). We are staying at the newly recovered Guana Seaside Resort (GSR) and have rented a "monster" cart from Donna. (Jerry S, let me know where the really cool places are for 4-wheeling Guana-style!! )
Donna indicated to me that they do not deliver carts to the docks. We are staying at GSR, so what is the most practical way to get to GSR from the ferry docks and then pick up the cart, or, get the cart and THEN go to GSR - whichever makes the most sense.
Do most folks "provision" (Beer/soda and 'light' food items) at MHH or can that be done conveniently on Guana?
It seems sooooooo odd asking these very basic questions again - "it feels like the first time" all over again - but it's sort of exciting like our first trip planning to Abaco for the 4th time. It's amazing how little we know about Guana since we have never actually stayed there - only numerous day trips.
Thanks guys!
AW - ParrottMon, not to worry, we'll try not to create a race track on your lot with this "big wheel"......... ;)
Willy, GSV will meet you at the dock. They can take your luggage and whatever else you bring along and take it to GSV. You can walk to Donna's and pick up the golf cart.
You can buy what you want from the liquor store here or buy in MH and bring it along on the ferry. Our Guana Harbour grocery store is well stocked but even we go to Solomon's, Price Right or Abaco Groceries in MH, for things that we can't find at Sylvon's here on Guana Cay. If there is anything you might want and wonder if it is available here on the island, just let me know and I can check and let you know.

abacowilly, Hi!, We are planning our first trip to Guana, our first trip to the Abacos in any way. I had gotten a Phone number off the board here, for Donna's but does she have a web site also? We are staying at a house rental and will probably need a cart. I have been getting most of my info for our trip off the net and browsing this board, which is very helpful.
Also What date is the Barefoot man concert? We are going to be in Guana the 19th to the 26th of March.
Appreciate yours, or anyone elses help. We are really looking forward to our first trip to the Abacos.
Thanks,
Greg
I bet Glen or Bob would pick you up and deliver you, just tell them to put it on ParrottMon's tab!!!!!!
March 6th for BarefootMan
www.donnasands.com (http://www.donnasands.com) for Donna's web site and contact.

This is a message to Pat W. I tried to find your e-mail address but I have anew computer and can not locate it. I have corresponded to you in 2004 but I do not remember when (could have been springtime) and read your reports on your trip to your daughter's. I was wondering if you could e-mail me at cambourneangie@yahoo.com We are booked to come down in about 3 weeks and I need some info. We will be staying at TC again (our 4th visit). We would like to come over to Guana for a visit. One of the weeks my daughter will be coming down with her twins and I need some info. Could you please e-mail me so that I can ask you some questions? Would greatly appreciate a reply. Again I have chatted with you in the past.
Thanks,
Angie

Do you think I could just have the ferry captain call GSV as we are on the ride over so they can pick us up?
Looking forward to seeing you and meeting Sidney in a few weeks! We could sure use some "Guana survival tips" when we arrive. :)

Just let Bob know what ferry you will be on and he will know when to be there at the dock. However, the ferry captain would be more than happy to radio them. What time do you arrive in MH?

What is this "Tab" crapola??? You guys tried this back in June and it didn't work. Ya really think it's gonna work now!?? "ol Glenn looks after the Parrottmon and would let no harm come to him. And besides, I've spent sooooo much money restoring dis old boat to bring to Abaco that I can't afford my own tab. Anybody wanna buy the Parrottmon a glass of red wine?????

I'll buy you that glass of red wine but who's gonna supply your water chaser?
Glenn told me to tell you that he saved your tab from June. It survived the hurricanes!

Guana Cay Hardware has NEVER stocked 2 CASES of WD-40 at one time. 2 CANS maybe........'ol Sidney is waaaaaaay too smart to stock DAT much WD-40. Heck, with 2 cases the whole island would be slip-sliding away. I DID get a new wallet for Christmas so I'll be needing some WD-40 to loosen it up.....hopefully on Guana real soon. In the meantime, I hope Glenn at Seaside and Sidney at Guana Cay Hardware will grant me a credit extension. What would REALLY be cool would be an open credit account at the Liquor store, and Dive Guana, and Donna's Cart rentals, and gas at Orchid Bay, AND Batelco cards to call home, and....etc.etc.........MAN!......the bills are piling up....see what youse guys started......ken
Actually Ken, we do have 4 cases and get this....we have two different sizes too!!!!! An 8 and a 12 oz. and we can special order GALLONS for your "TIGHT"...........wallet!
