Hello everyone.... I am taking my husband and brother to Guana in May and was wondering what about surf fishing and spiny lobster (season). We have stayed on Elbow several times but this will be our first visit to Guana.
Hopefully we can jog/walk the entire beach. I thought I read that there is a new development that will prevent us from doing that.

I'll try to give you some first hand experience. Our trip last May was supposed to be our big adventure offshore with tuna and dolphin just jumping in the boat, but we ended up with an east wind at 25 knots or better. So we headed down towards tillo cut where we figured we could find some patch reef and scare up some snapper as going offshore in 8 to 10 was not our idea of fun. On the way I figured I would just toss one of my dolphin lure over (we were in a sailing cat). In a matter of minutes the drag was screaming and 10 minutes later we had a 10 lbs. mutton snapper on board. We caught one other on the way to our anchorage. We were not going to get off shore the next day, so we headed to the snake cay area where we trolled one rod with a dolphin lure and ended up with 5 muttons between 10 and 15 lbs. which was more than enough for dinner and lunch for the rest of the time out there. We hear that the winds and the seas calmed down after we left and the were plenty of dolphin and some tuna.
This year we will be going on June 1st. Hopefully we will be blessed with calm seas.
