In the 2009 Dodge Guide there is an advertisement for Maxwell's indicating that Maxwell's was "two blocks south of the old location". Does this mean it has been re-built? If not, does anyone know when/if Maxwell's will be re-opened. We are coming down in a few weeks and want to know where to buy groceries in Marsh Harbour.

Maxwells is underway but not opened yet. Yes, it is opening a larger store just up the road a piece. Price Right is great for anything you need. Also, Abaco Groceries out by the airport and also Fruits and Vegetables next door to Abaco Groceries for great... well, fruits and vegetables. All the businesses have been great since the fire at Maxwells - keeping the stock supplied and working hard in customer service. You have nothing to worry about not having access to things that you need. Don't forget our wonderful Abaco Chicken, Irish Kerrigold cheddar cheese and butter, homemade breads. Also, in the last 10 years the selection has gotten better and better. Come and enjoy.

I now buy Irish Kerrigold butter in Publix since enjoying it in Abaco. It blows land o lakes out of the water. Labor Day weekend they were excavating the foundation for Maxwells.
