during our trip to Abacos next Feb, we plan on doing some light tackle fishing -
and I see there a few fish identification guide books.
Sport fish of Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and Atlantic.
which might be the most specific for Abacos?
they all seem to be relative - suggestions?
Never have fished the area at all, but we do fish Mexico Baja and Sea of Cortez, so we have some gear - just not familiar with the variety of fish we may encounter.
thanks for any tips.

Joester,

The fish in the Abacos would be about the same as those in Florida.
Bring along some 1/2 oz. jigs, and some minnow type diving lures and you should do fine.

If you are light tackle fishing on the banks or flats this is what you will be fishing for. Mutton Snapper may just be showing up, Yellow Tail Snapper in the cuts, Bone fish on the flats, Small barracuda on the flats and some bigger ones in the Sea of Abaco, Grey snapper around some rocks or docks. Light tackle trolling some JAcks and possibly some Cero or Spanish Mackeral.
