View Full Version : Annual slip needed in Marsh Harbor for 33' Grady. Any places better than others?

I am running a friends 33' Grady White to Abaco so he can have it there when he flys in for 1 weekend a month.

Before I call the marinas I was wondering if any one had any experiences to share. He prefers Marsh Harbor because of its proximity to Cherokee Aviation.

Sailors I know swear by Marsh Harbor Marina at the Jib Room for hospitality and off season rates. What is the general feeling about the other marinas?

Does Mangos offer annual slips? I will be checking with Conch Inn, and Boat Harbor as well. Are there any others?

Thanks,

Brad

The question to ask is what marina offers the most security from theft and weather. Using these criteria, Boat Harbour would be a very good choice.

I have kept my boat at Harbour View Marina for 4 years and have nothing but good things to say . To get into the marina, you have to either have a key for the gate or pass through the office. Troy, the owner/dockhand/manager, checks each boat at least twice a day. On those windy days he and his crew adjust lines as needed. They are also there to assist when docking, which is always appreciated.
Feel free to PM me if you need additional info.

We had the good fortune to have our 44' at Marsh Harbour Marina (MHM) for four months this spring/ early summer. We very much enjoyed the experience and would recommend MHM and the Jib Room without reservation. Jason, Steven, Tom and Linda (aka Bo) will treat you well. In my opinion, being away from the "main drag" is worth the extra distance and time in a tender or by taxi.

Man-O-War is safe and secure. Smaller and yet personal service.
