During the delivery of Mama Cocha to Marsh we were told at several places that the Batelco phones did not work but the ones accepting VISA did....
We made a few calls lasting no more than 3 minutes each just to let everybody know that we were OK...and I just downloaded my visa activity.....
$40 per call...ooooch

Yep, last year I called home twice, left a 30-second message on my answering machine for the house-sitter, $83 for the two calls, and I couldn't get the credit card company to cancel the charges!
