Does anyone know the airline situation for getting over to the islands before the storm comes? If it does. How long will flights be going over?
I heard Patti on the Cruisers Net say that the Marsh Harbour International Airport closes down when the winds get to 40 knots. This morning she said that we would start having tropical force winds on Wednesday. I don't know if the forecast is the same now. Maybe she will see this post and have more information for you.

American Eagle will be the first to cancel. I was "stuck" in TC for 2 days during Fay when all the other airlines continued flying. This time it's different though. Good luck everyone!

I just returned from MHH a week ago an was there for 6 days. I flew down on the tail end of Fay.When we arrived in Palm Beach airport there were heavy rains. The plane ride in was a bumpy one and I was nervous. I had to shake the pilots hand and thank him for the safe landing. Our next flight was 4 hours delayed (BahamasAir) leaving PBI and it was still raining when we arrived ay MHH. Good luck to those of you who are flying out in the next few days. Neilk..TC, that's a nice place to be stuck if you have to be stuck somewhere.

Can anyone suggest commercial airlines from Miami to Treasure Cay? Continental has cancel its service.

The last time I checked, it looks like the only way to go direct to or from Abaco to Miami is American Airlines out of Marsh Harbour.
Bahamasair will go Miami to Nassau then to Treasure Cay.
Right now at this time of year and with the cutbacks in flights, choices are limited. Hope they add more flights later.

If your flight into Miami cannot be changed, you can take Tri-Rail to FLL or WPB/PBI to make a connecting flight to Abaco, just allow ample time. I'm sure schedules should be posted on their site.
