The rain stayed away and the cheeseburgers were great.

Patricia and Bobb send me these photos and this note:

Lot's of nice people, could not expect better weather. Nice crew helping us setting the party. Beautiful girls and guys. Kids, dog's everything was just perfect. No problems whatsoever, except the houseboat engine broke but it's fixed. We are heading to Hope Town now for a well deserved vacation.

Great pictures. Is there less of a crowd this year? Is the houseboat with the palm tree there?

Love the pictures. I am going to try to upload the picture we took. The houseboat was there with the palm tree. This was our first year going and we meet some awesome people and had a great time. Will definitely be back next year. Does anyone now how the race went yesterday?

Angie, you can actually see a bit of the houseboat in the background of Mermaid's 3rd picture (just to the left of the center of the photo).

I am sure this party is a blast, but I can't help but thinking these types of crowds are exactly what I am trying to get away from when I go to the Abacos! We were there one year during Regattas week but missed the Cheeseburger party because we flew in that day, and I was really worried if things would be too crazy for us in GTC, but it was actually pretty nice, with a party in town with a Junkanoo parade. There were a lot of people there the night of the race, but the crowd moved on the next day and everything was peaceful as usual the rest of our trip.

we went for the first time this year. Our daughter won the hula hoop for the kids 10 and under contest, she was very excited. Really fun time, lots of sailors and power boaters. over 1200 hamburgers cooked. Great free drinks and food with boats and dinghies as far as you can see. But we are with JJ and have been zig zagging and timing our islands to miss the Regatta since there are a lot of boats and people with it.

JJ, you have great eyes. If that is the line for hamburgers, it seems like it would take forever to get one or you could be drunk by then!!!

I know that boat! It is usually parked at the Other Shore Club where we get boat gas in Green Turtle.
