Took a mighty nap this afternoon and I am up late. VHF radio just squawked "MAYDAY" with a Hattaras dragging anchor and on the rocks on Delia's Cay in Fisher's Bay and a thunderstorm arriving. Troy at Dive Guana responding again. He is out there, at midnight, helping out, again. People visiting Guana Cay are very lucky to have Troy of Dive Guana, Guana Rescue, and Guana BASRA if they get into trouble.

Yes indeed! I was in the famous Guanna Regatta Week Storm of '06 at Fisher's Bay and remember well the heroics of Troy helping others while one of his own boats was being crushed by a boat dragging anchor. I was there again in summer '07 and watched one of his crew save a boat on the rocks at Delia's Cay. And, he is just a nice guy too.

Also heard about some boats off Black Sound / Green Turtle and a boat off Nunjack between Crab Cay that dragged that night as well. Fortunately all were secured in time before any damage occurred. We were moored in White Sound / Green Turtle when around 11:00 pm I heard the wind generator start cranking. Winds went from almost nothing to 40 knots plus within seconds and from the opposite direction. Pretty scary.
