After months and months of training, fundraising, planning, a contingent of 24 students from Abaco who attend Every Child Counts School, and 12 chaparones and teachers are headed for Nassau tomorrow evening on Bahamasair. We will be in Nassau for the Games in swimming and track and field until Sunday. So many people are to be gratefully thanked for this herculean effort. Just a few are Mary Gottlieb, Pattie Toler, Janet from Lubbers, people who sent us running shoes (otherwise the kids run in socked feet only) from the States, so many locals and tourists. Everyone is so excited. I will file a full heartfelt Trip Report and photos so all of you can see everything you have done for these great kids. Many of these kids have never been on a trip like this. The excitement at school is off the charts. Wish us luck as we bring home the Gold to Abaco!!!!!
