Do prescription medicines have to be in their respective labeled bottles or can they be thrown in the "daily pill boxes"?

If you're following the letter of the law, all prescription meds are supposed to be kept in their original labelled containers, especially controlled substances such as pain pills and sleepers.
That having been said, I have NEVER heard of anyone being busted for a violation. I always put all of my pills in a baggy and stick them in a small toilet bag. Been through customs in a lot of places, I've never had a problem.

You don't poop in a toilet bag, you pack your bathroom stuff in it.
if you are carrying needles as in insulin, or chemo needles be sure to have a note signed by your doctor. We were busted in Australia for that. But never in the Bahamas!

Why not carry required number of pills in original script bottle and after arriving, transfer to daily usgae container ?;)

Mark, you make it sound so simple that I bet you are not dependant on any Rx. If I carried all my Rx, vitamin, and suppliment bottles with me I'd need an extra carry-on! I never heard of anybody having trouble using a daily pill minder. If it were to make one more comfortable, the druggist papers could be easily packed.
One more thought for pill takers. Never, never, ever pack your meds in your check in luggage!!!

The good dok-tor has everything in dat bag BUT the toilet! Did I see a couple of flasks?? Nice pic Ralph......on to meds......I take a bunch of 'em, never had a problem getting them in........They do not want you to die while in the Bahamas......Ken
We take both with us when we travel...Rx bottles plus the daily pill reminder. If for any reason we were to get stuck there, due to weather or illness, the daily reminder might run out, and it would be a life-and-death situation for me if I didn't carry extras in the bottles.

we carry our prescriptions in a daily pill box and then carry copies of the prescription from the doctor rather than carrying along a big bag of bottles. (The V.A. sends out its prescriptions in giant bottles.)
