I would like some information on the amounts of wine, beer, and liquor you are allowed to bring through customs in Marsh Harbour. Thank you for your help.

I do not know the regulations, but I have never had a issue. We bring over (4) 18 packs of beer and several boxes of wine on every trip. They are primarily concerned with Bahamians bringing pack stuff they can collect duty on.

Plus, only wine and beer are so expensive that you would consider bringing your own. Still, a lot of weight to be given up for wins and beer

Don't bother with hard liquor and red wine, it is cheaper here. Beer and white wines are more expensive. BUT, if you go overweight on the airline just for beer then you will be hauling more expensive beer than what you could have bought locally!

We don't worry about the weight of the beer and white wine because we have been flying Continental which allows each passenger(4) 2 checked bags and a carry on with purse/baby bag. The worst part of the huge amount of luggage we carry(or I carry) is:
1) Loading luggage into limo(suv not large enough)
2) Unloading luggage at FLL and transporting thru check in.
3) Transporting luggage thru MHH customs to cab.
4) Luggage from cab to ferry dock.
5) From ferry dock to where we stay in HT.
There are four of us which last year included my wife,daughter(16 mos) and a 15 yr old babysitter. This year I will be bring a "manny" instead of the teenager who will help me with the luggage. Next year we will fly Twin Air which I prefer but haven't wanted to take our daughter on such a small plane. She will be ready next year though. The wife is going to have to cut down on the packing and I will have to cut out the beer.

Do those travel well in your checked luggage?
I usually carry mine, but I know that won't be allowable now.

The exact question that is asked of me each time I bring a couple of mini-kegs (1.3 gallons) of homebrew beer is "will you be consuming this during your stay" and the answer is always yes with a couple of cases of kalik to boot. Never had a problem.
