I am looking for information on the Abaco Freedom

Hello, my name is Emma Gilbert and I am a mother of seven living in New Zealand Bay of Islands. We as a family are interested in buying the Abaco Freedom boat but the history available is scant and contradictory. If anyone is able to give us information on the history of the boat we would gladly appreciate it. Also , we would like to communicate with Wayne Pearse, the previous owner. Perhaps you could pass it on that we are looking to contact him.

Interestingly, my husband and I saw the Abaco Freedom in New Orleans tied up in the yacht basin. This was at Mardi Gras, so not so long ago. Don't know why it was there. I expect the trip was less than pleasant!

The Freedom was listed for sale on yachtworld dot com, as a 100' Sommersett, and at the time was on the way to Texas. Price was an unbelievably low $300k.

I use to see it in Marsh I believe. It was marketed for parties and charters.

I went to the Yachtworld web site and looked under houseboats and found it listed in two ads for a 100 ft. Somerset, different prices but the first ad shows the layout and provides more information. Price is still under $300K but it is currently located in New Orleans, Louisiana.
