Some of you requested come "comfort" photos to hold you over until your next trip so here are a few.

notice anything familiar in this picture???? It looks like its sitting in snow, huh??

The first is the house on the corner by the ferry dock, its still under construction. The next picture is the completed sun deck at High Rock. If you remember, it was completely gone after Jeanne hit. The next picture is the gate at Orchid Bay. Yes, there is a gate. It will close at 10:00pm and re-open at 6:00am.

Do folks like us (cottage owners) and our "guests need passes in order to go through from 6 am till 10 ...Also - will i be able to do my "power walk - ha ha " through without getting a pass? and finally are they allowing golf carts to park "down there for beach walks, snorkels etc ?

Jimmy told us tonight that he has no problems with people going to Orchid Bay but he has had some problems at night and he feels the need to close the gate at 10:00. Sidney and I went for a ride tonight and had no one stop us.

So what happens if there is a fire after 10pm? As far I know they have not given Guana Fire and Rescue a key.....hummm?

She drove like a champ Jerry!!! We picked her up last night and took her for a spin. We have her here so Sidney can give her a shot of WD-40 tomorrow...just in case!

Actually there are two gates. The one in the picture and there is one before the freight dock as you enter Orchid Bay. I believe they will be electronic with a code to be entered. The rest of the hardware hasn't arrived as of yet. There will also be security making their rounds at night.


So what happens if there is a fire after 10pm? As far I know they have not given Guana Fire and Rescue a key.....hummm?
