We have noticed a big spike in kiteboarders in Abaco! While there may not always be surfing waves, there is always those cool breezes for kiteboarders. Bruce is still an avid kiteboarder. He has no problem bringing his equipment where-ever we go, although he did get kicked out of the Atlantic at my mom's house on the Jersey Shore last summer! (Too dangerous they said) He purchased an inexpensive dufflebag (about 20 bucks) at an Army-Navy surplus store in West Palm Beach for the board, the folded-up kite, and the auxillary stuff. Luckily for kiteboarders, the equipment is much smaller and much more lightweight than windsurfing stuff or even a surf board. The airlines seem fine with the kiteboarders and their stuff coming out to the Abacos. People can check out some great kiteboarders in front of Nippers many a day. And if the wind is not blowing on that side of Guana, it usually is on the Sea of Abaco Side and you can see them out there too. Lots of fun to watch. No, he doesn't have a plane, although he asks Santa for one every single Christmas...

haha. dont we all wish santa would drop us off a plane.
Thanks for your help. Ill try going to an army surplus store today and picking up a large bag for mine. I had planned on getting a fake golf bag and stuffing the gear in there but unfortunately didnt get it in on time. and now im leaving for guana tommorow and have no way of getting my board down there. thanks again because that actually sounds like it will work perfect!

Great! Glad to help. We are in Utah skiing "the greatest snow on earth". It is ZERO degrees today and yesterday! Getting tons of powder snow. Bruce is doing his usual anti-gravity stuff up there on the blacks. Stop by the house or find Bruce - he'd love to go kiteboarding with you while you are on Guana. Have fun!

Bruce will be back on the 1st. Santa did bring him a new kite for Christmas, the other was old, been repaired several times and totally blown out. Ask him about the story of getting thrown up on the dune at Surfside during a funky little storm that blew in from the oceanside. Have a safe trip out!
