That was some good info on wireless. How about the same type of info on cell phones?

I used to have a Motorola v60 which I think was TDMA and that worked fine in Guana. Then it broke and I couldn't get another TDMA so I got a Motorola i720 which I think is GSM. Well that phone is now on it's way out so I was wondering what kind of phone I should get next, so if I really need it, I can use it over there. I heard that there are new three or four band phones that work with both TDMA and GSM networks.

It was also be really cool if I could pull up a radar screen off the web since I am a pilot.

Anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone know if Cingular or T-Mobile are working in GTC?

Now that cingular and ATT have merged, both work in the bahamas anywhere that there is cell coverage. It is pricey so you might want to bring down your old TDMA phone and take it to Batelco and for $75 they will convert it to a prepaid phone. Then calls to the US only cost , I believe, 59cents a min.

That sounds like a good idea. So GSM doesn't work, does it?
