Want to enjoy a very special evening?
The Green Turtle Club is the place to be on Saturday evening, 8th December from 6:30pm to 11pm. It’s an Evening of Bahamian Elegance!!!
This ‘Black Tie Event’ will be under the distinguished patronage of The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, The Right Honourable Hubert A. Ingraham and Mrs. Delores Ingraham.
The Island Roots Heritage Festival Committee has organized this very special evening event to help raise necessary funds for the 2008 Island Roots Heritage Festival on the 2nd to the 4th of May 2008 on Green Turtle Cay.
A special ferry will be arranged to leave the mainland Abaco ferry dock at 6:15pm so that you will be stepping onto The Green Turtle Club’s dock at exactly 6:30pm, where you will be greeted with a delicious welcome drink, generously donated by Burns House Ltd. And don’t worry the ferry will return you back to the mainland at 9:30pm or 11pm.
Tabatha, Gernie and the Express Band will leave the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island for the weekend, just to perform for you throughout the evening. Tabatha will astound you with her beautiful voice and make you feel extra special when she visits your table to sing just to you. They play tunes from way back when… so if you enjoy hearing Frank Sinatra tunes, Otis Redding and James Brown hits, right up to today’s “Party in the Backyard’ Brilanders hit, you are going to enjoy this evening!!! The band will play under the big tree dripping with twinkling lights making it hard for you to resist getting out on the dance floor while you enjoy sampling the h’ordeurves or check out the many different silent auction pieces.
Seating will begin at 7pm, 7:30pm and 8pm and once seated, your table is all yours for the entire evening. But of course once you hear the Band begin to play again after dinner, you might be lured to ‘retire’ to the patio to enjoy more of this spectacular band brought all the way from Nassau, just for your enjoyment.
Please call The Green Turtle Club at 365-4271 for your tickets. They will be asking you to choose from Black and White Sesame Crusted Seared Tuna, Steak Diane, Prime Rib or Sautéed Breast of Chicken in a Champagne Sauce. Your meal will begin with a delicious lobster bisque and mimosa salad and end with a decadent dessert that will be impossible to resist. And to make it even more enjoyable, Burns House will also provide each person with a special glass of white or red wine or sparkling cider chosen to compliment your entrée. There are only 100 tickets available and they are $125 each.
You don’t want to miss this very special Evening of Bahamian Elegance, so don’t hesitate and call now to insure that you will be a part of this event. There will also be a special prize for the best dressed couple and for the best dressed single person. Dress elegantly, but remember a tuxedo or suit is not required!
Memories are just waiting to be made!
Many thanks to all for continuing to support the IRHF Committee, we appreciate all that you do to help us.
