Miss Emily's Blue Bee RESTAURANT

Dan and I went to the grand opening of Miss Emily's Restaurant tonight. Which is located in New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay. They were offering a American Thanksgiving dinner special. The new addition to Miss Emily's is tastefully decorated with light blue walls, white wood blinds and crown molding. Little blue lights were around the floor and also in the ceiling fans fixtures. The tables were all adorned in white tablecloths and candles. I planned to have pictures but..... I forgot my camera.. So tomorrow I will try to get some. Tonight they offered two sittings one at 6pm and the other at 8pm. You had your choice of a main entrée of lobster, grouper, pork loin, or traditional roast turkey with gravy. We had the roast turkey. Dinner was served with a romaine salad, delicious conch chowder, cranberry sauce and your choice of two sides. I had baked macaroni and dressing and Dan had mash potato's and dressing. We were quite pleased with our meal. They also had a dessert of pumpkin pie or strawberry cheesecake. We both ordered the strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake turned out to be more of a strawberry pound cake then a cheesecake but it was very, very good. Tomorrow they start serving lunch and dinner and hope to add breakfast soon. We looked at the lunch and dinner menus and both look to have alot of choices and reasonable prices. To us it looks like Miss Emily's new venture is off to a promising start. We plan to go back in tomorrow for lunch. http://coconuttelegraph.net/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif

Danali, sounds like you both had a great meal and a very good time. Will have to stop by that restaurant when we are in GTC for Junkanoo.Glad you enjoyed it.Would love to see the pictures.

I had lunch to go from there yesterday and it was very good and large portions.I just wish it was my first meal of the trip and not my last.

Hazie it was a great trip the weather was good and the water was still warm enough to get in and snorkle.No work on the house, ideas for the six weeks starting Dec 27th though.No fishing this trip but will get to that in a month, and this next trip my fiance will experience her first Junkanoo, so watch out.I assume you will be there for the new years?Have a merry Cristmas and hope i will see you on the Rock.

Glad to hear you had a fun-only sort of trip. Your Significant Other will love celebrating the New Year GTC style. I wish I could be there........but must wait til March. Will you bring her to the festival in May?

Per my husband (the self-appointed conch chowder judge on our last trip)... Miss Emily's wins hands down!!! Great food, big portions, lots of conch in the chowder and very friendly service. Thanks for everything to Smitty and Ms. Violet!
