Phone service in abacos

A friend told me to buy a prepaid tracfone and it would work ??? Any truth to this? Thanks

Don't do it! I had one and they cut off my service for using the Tracfone in the Bahamas. It seems lots of people were buying them and using them to call from Cuba and I guess that was a big NO NO!!
