Does anyone have experience with either of the two Satellite FM Radio companies - XM or Sirius ? If so, does either have good coverage & reception in the Bahamas ? Am considering purchasing one and would hope to use it cruising around Abacos & Exumas on a sailboat ... so curious to see if one would be better than an another ??
Thanks - John

The only thing I can tell you is that Sirius stock has soared the past few weeks.

With XM you can have weather info downloaded to your computer. Which is really helpful if you're a boater.

We had sirius radio aboard the boat in the Abacos and it worked great. It was nice to have many music and news choices

Terry -- the stock price has soared since Howard Stern announced he was leaving broadcast radio in Jan 2006 and his show would only be on Sirius.
Other than that, I do not know how well either works in the Bahamas, but they have some different content which may or may not be importnant to you. If the reception is the same, check out the channel list before you buy.

Had lunch at David Bethel's in New PlymouthWednesday before Thanksgiving and his XM worked wonderfully
we use direct tv/satelite on our boat for music,tv and weather.
XM works fine, and I'm sure Sirius does too, but then you'll have to put up with Stern. I vote for XM!
Listening to XM right now! We've had it for almost a year. We have the boom box for it and its great when the power goes out and we just run it on batteries!
