Dolphin Encounters through Unexso, Grand Bahamas, how to get there?

Hi - I'm planning a trip for next February. Staying on Abacos and wanting to go to the Dolphin Encounters attraction on Port Lucaya, Grand Bahamas. I can't seem to find out how to get there. Our hotel says they think there is a ferry that leaves from Crown Haven, but I can't find out anything about it - when it goes, etc. so I can make my reservation.

Also, are there any car rental places that rent jeeps or convertibles? Or, does anyone know if a scooter can be used to go all over Abacos? I rather liked the idea of a golf cart, but I'm told that they can't go from Treasure Cay to Marsh Harbor.

We will be staying at Bahamas Beach Club for 7 days. I invision touring the whole island, and taking a ferry to Guano Cay and Elbow Cay both.

There is air service to Freeport.

You can rent cars and scooters.

Abaco is quite large, Close to 100 or so miles from one end to the other not to mention the outer cays that are only accessable by boat. Grand Bahama is just as big or even larger. I can't see you touring the entire island of abaco and going to Port lucaya on GB all in one week. Plan to spend time in Treasure scooting around and catch a ferry to Green Turtle one day, rent a car and go to Marsh Harbour another and if you can fit time in the schedule catch some ferrys to the outer cays like guana, MOW and Elbow Cay.

Maybe you should plan a trip to Freeport another time and just plan to be there. I think you are trying to pack too much into one trip. Think small and if you have time to to more while you are here, then that is a bonus. Abaco is all about relaxing and enjoying the area.

I'm told that Major Air flies between MH and Grand Bahama. You can access their website for more info.

I'm told that info about the ferry between Crown Haven, Abaco and Grand Bahama can be obtained by accessing the Abaconian's website. I'm also told that Crown Haven is about 60 miles away from MH. So, a car will be needed, or be prepared to pay a $140 taxi fare.
