Can anyone recommend a good place to stay between FL and Green Turtle, coming via West End and the Indian Cay channel? Obviously West End is an option, but I'd like to get a little further. Is there anything on Great Sale, or is there anything worth staying at Foxtown?

Great Sale is uninhabited, but has a nice anchorage. Foxtown is a small Bahamian fishing village, a lovely spot with awesome cracked conch at the restaurant at the Shell dock and limited supplies. If by "a good place to stay" you mean a fancy marina, the first one after West End is Spanish Cay. Or, depending on the draft of your boat, you may be able to access some of the marinas on the northern cays. Check your Dodge's cruising guide!

As said above, there are some nice anchorages near uninhabited cays.
I've been to FoxTown to fuel up. Not sure if they have any rooms but if they do it would not be 5-star. Also, the draft to get in there is pretty shallow so be aware of that. Near West End you have Old Bahama Bay which is a very nice marina/hotel but very expensive. Then a couple miles "south" is Bootle Bay which is a so, so marina (no gas) and decent hotel. Draft may be an issue getting into the canal here so check on that. So, I guess I'm gonna answer your question with a "no". :)

We had to stay at West End on our way back from GTC in June. Very nice place, marbled rooms, nice pool and bar, BUT $330.00 per night PLUS $114.00 to dock a 22' boat seemed a little much for us common fisherman. You are at the best of the best there, so what the heck.. I'd opt for Foxtown next time, if I had to stop..

Just remember, take half the clothes and twice the money, and you'll be fine!!

Try Rosies on Grand Cay

Hey thanks for the suggestions. I have the Dodge book and it has great info, but its from 2006 and I wasn't sure about accuaracy. I dont need a 5 star or a fancy marina, in fact i'm trying not to spend too much per night. I just want to make sure I'm not staying in an absolutely terrible place. My boat will float in 2 feet, so shallow marinas are fine. How is Rosies?? I've heard good things and might aim for there. Anyone ever stay at the hotel at Bootle Bay?

Bootle hotel is perfectly fine (Bahamas Scale). Rosies will take you a little out of your way though.
2' draft, you should be fine at 99% of the places.

Rosie's is fine, the rooms are clean and the marina has all you'll need. Plenty of draft, good cold beer.
