hi Toby. Having some communication problems here on Guana. I need your phone # so I can give you the low down on what's happening on the north end and what we're doing. Exciting stuff! It seems the board is not interested in hearing about it.

Sorry to hear that you don't think we are interested. I, for one, can't get enough information about what is going on. Please post!!!!! Robyn

Hi Erin, We are very interested in the latest news on Passerine. I think they had a meeting in Nassau Nov. 19 with officials when I was there. Do you know who the developers are? Please post, I look almost everyday.

The development group is Discovery Land. they are based in San Fransico. Also, John Head who owns the Abaco Inn, R. Alan Bullock and JB Mannelly are principals and owners. They now call themselves something like the Bullock group but their financial backing comes from a hedge fund that has funded Discovery Land in the past. The Discovery Land people are Steve Adelson and Joey Arenson. Its not the development persa that we are against, its the size and magniture at which the land will be developed. This development is not sustainable. The golf course and 240 slip marina must not be permitted. There are significant fresh water upwelling in the surronding coral reef and no matter what "new and ingenious" ways they are planning on dealing with the golf course run off and the marina waste it will only take HOURS to start the bleching the reef. The fresh water alone will be enough to destroy beauitful Baker's Bay. We do have lots of support. I did not mean that no one cares, its just that this message board does not seem a good forum to discuss thsi topic. We have been repeadly shut down. I guess the truth is a little to hard handle for some (those who are shutting us down). I should also mention that we have the supprt of Reef Relief, the Nature Consevancy and The Environmental Defense Fund. We're looking for heavy hitters to hit back. Please email me directly at guanabeachhouse@yahoo.com and I will do my best to keep all those concerned up to date. The best thing anyone can do right now is email PM Christy with your thoughts on why the 585 acres should not be developed.

Thank you to all who have continued to support us!
