Bare with me, I’m a year or so out of practice at writing trip reports but I thought there might be a few of ya out there that may what to know how a few things are in and around Treasure Cay. I’m just going to list the notable stuff that I remember since the “rest” is still a little fuzzy from my return back to Minnesota, and yes, it is snowing as I type!

1) TC Airport – The roof that covered the walkway to the planes is gone, payphones knocked down.

2) Coconut’s is closed, but rumors say they’ll reopen soon.

3) Hudson’s Delight looks to be changing to a Laundromat.

4) Trees etc. are resilient and flourishing, damaged but not as bad as Floyd.

5) Banyan Beach Club major damage, not open, and no positive rumors yet.

6) Lots of roof damage everywhere.

7) Spinnaker open but limited, no breakfast, no lunch, or Thursday night pizza.

8) Coco Bar open, food is better than years past.

9) Solomon’s Mines not open, did not ask if they will be.

10) Florence’s, Triple J, Grocery, Abaco Gold, Abaco Ceramics, Convenience, Liquor stores all open but there seemed to be a weird shortage of ginger ale and for those of you that don’t know it tastes more gingery than the stuff we get in the states.

11) Marina docks are fine.

12) Beach is fine with a new “plateau”

13) Flew with Vintage and would do it again!!! Very professional and certainly worth the extra $$.

14) Lost luggage for 5 days due to weather tightening a connection in the states. No worries, I now have a new collections of shirts etc. from many generous friends, old and new. Made me realize that I don’t really need all that I bring. Another reminder that “Abaco is NOT for Sissies”!!

15) Weather was FABULOUS!!! If it’s not blowin’ I’ll do November again.
