This is a publicly available report from the GAO, which describes the current status of passenger prescreening for both domestic and international flights (and I am relating this to flights to "paradise"). Even though lengthy (54 pp), it might be of interest, as it describes what will come. One of the aspects will be APIS -60, i.e. passenger info for intl. flights must be submitted 60 minutes prior to departure. Draw your own conclusions, and adjust accordingly.
