I was in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday and it was very windy. Couldn't lay on the beach without getting sandblasted. All this wind is not doing any good for the fires in Florida. Is it very windy in the Abacos?
To just say windy does not do justice. We had guests onboard for two weeks and spent 10 days pinned down by winds up to 40 MPH. Remember the line in the Jimmy Buffet song "Shot six holes in my freezer - think I got cabin fever?" The weather system causing all of this is supposed to break around Sunday or Monday - hopefully to more seasonable conditions.
Latest forecast shows the high pressure area north of Abaco moving out by next weekend. Winds 15 to 20 Kts until then.
