Hello All and thank those of you that responded to my other inquiry, http://coconuttelegraph.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6525 regarding the Spanish Wells/Devil's Backbone inlet.

I was looking at my chart and it seems that the Harbour Mouth inlet for Harbour Island looks quite a bit easier than the Devil's Backbone inside passage.

Has anyone done this inlet? Does the channel carry 6' to Harbour Island docks?
As I would be running this in June I don't expect too much rough weather on that entry. I am more concerned about the inside channel at the south end of the harbor.

The problem there is not the inlet itself, which is straight forward, but the ever shifting sand bars on the inside. Watch where the locals go, then check it out with your dinghy first. If you are used to reading water there should be no problem. There is a strong current so if you screw up you may sit through a whole tide!!
