Eddie Swensen

For those of you who knew him, Edward Swensen of Hackensack, NJ and Lighthouse Point, FL passed away this month. He was a frequent visitor to the Abacos. Eddie and some friends purchased “Sea Winds” on Ocean Boulevard in Treasure Cay from the Durrell family in the early 1980s. He also had several boats over the years. The latest was “Ed’s Toy”, a fully handicap accessible 81’ Hargrave. Eddie had a stroke a few years ago but thanks to Ed’s Toy he was still able to cruise the Abacos.

That's so sad the hear, I knew he had the stoke a few years back and his health was failing. Sorry to hear he passed. Thanks for the update. Do you know what will happen with Sea Winds and if his family will be coming back to Abaco?

I know his son Craig and his daughter Dawn will continue to visit along with their spouses and the grandchildren. While I'm no relation, I'll still be at Sea Winds a couple weeks each year. There are others that will keep dropping by.
