We're flying into MH on the 19th and chartering a trawler for a week. Hoping to experience all that we've read about on the board. Following that, we're going to rent a car for a couple days and check out what we can from land. We'll be staying at the Lofty Fig while on land.
Can't wait to get out of Green Bay, WI for a while. It's been a cool spring here.

You should go to Nipper's at least once! You will not be there for a Sunday, the famous (or infamous!) Nipper's Pig Roast, but it is fun any time, just less crowded. You may enjoy it more on a Friday or Saturday than during the week, if you want to see more folks. Otherwise, any day or time you will enjoy a beautiful beach, two refreshing salt water pools, great food and the world famous rum thang, the "Nipper", either on the rocks or frozen.

Okay, so I noticed that most of the people going to the Abacos in the warmer months are from the South (except from Wonkee which means he probably teaches and has summers off because I know KS gets cold). I guess we northerners like to go in he winter to get out of this miserable cold winters up here but I would like the warmer months also. Also a lot of Canadians when we go in winter and NE people. Went in June once and it was my favorite. It was a year when we did Hawaii in the winter and than took grandkids to TC in June. Great year!

We are hoping to leave from Port Canaveral Friday eve, May 25th. Going south outside, a bit past ft pierce, then crossing over at WSR, onto Gr.Sale and check in at Spanish. If all goes well, we will be at Nippers by May 29/30. You will recognize me by the big, perma-grin I will be wearing. Yippeee! We only have 17 days total, so hopefully the weather Gods will be nice to us. I am counting up my Karma chips right now....

Hey BahamaAngie-I'm a Southern girl going to TC in 12 days- this is our second year going week of Memorial Day time period. We go during this time because my husband's boss let's us use his place free of charge! What a great boss he has! I keep hoping he'll hire me and then maybe we'd get 2 weeks? lol My best friend's name is Angie and she and her husband will be joining us a couple of days after we get there. They have been to GTC before for a wedding and I thought she was going to have a heart attack when I called and asked them to join us. I love the Abacos and am very thankful for being given the opportunity to enjoy! If I lived up north I would probably try to find a way to escape to the Abacos during the winter, also. I love this forum as it gives me a chance to "escape" for a few minutes everyday!

I know what you mean gaga girl...it is nice to escape and dream every so often. I do it alot lately....no life!
Sounds great that your husband's boss is letting him use his place. Maybe he can get a longer visit from him. Where are you staying? Beach Villas? Anywhere in TC is great as long as I have my rental cart! Have wheels will travel and we do that all the time.....the roving twosome!
Have a great time and can't wait to hear all about it.
(quick note to PattyRudi....Happy Birthday! and thanks for the book I started it today)
