Besides Moornings, they are too pricey, I need a Cat(power of sail) or a trawler from 12/22 to 1/03. 33 ft.+ with dingy, any suggestion would be helpful.

Try Florida Yacht Charters at (242) 367-4852 or (242) 367-4853. If you can't get in touch with Uncle Bob (local manager) let me know and I will talk to him directly.

Dear Bob:
I went to the website to inquire about the boats, but there is no contact info or any link to any phone or email address, do you have their phone# in the Cruising magazine?

You can also try an internet search for abaco bahamas charter companies. Some other places to look are at BoatUS.com for charters from owners (power and sail) or try sailonline.com which has a section for charters from owners of charter boats (your renting an owner use week) and I believe they've started a bidding section where you state what your willing to pay and they try to find a charter in that price range (think price line for charters). Nautic Blue is the power boat division of Moorings and they have power cats but again, the price may be more thanyour willing to pay. Best of Luck.

The site for the Maine Cat is the one that Michael posted. Hope that helps.

Hope this helps you. We have been here for almost a year. Here are two charter companies out of Hope Town, Abaco Yacht Charters,800-626-5690, and try the sailabaco website. I'm sure there are more. We are seeing more and more charter boats moving around every day. Everythings getting back to beautiful.

For the past eight or ten years my husband and I have chartered at least once a year, sometimes more, with Florida Yacht Charters. We have found them helpful and competent. We have already reserved our boat with them for next May, and can highly recommend them. Ann Thompson
