We're considering a stay at Schooner's Landing. Could someone please share their experiences? We're very familiar with MOW and the Abacos in general. Many thanks. dd
It has been many years since we stayed there -- pre-Hurricane Floyd. However, I can attest to it being in a wonderful location. It sits on a rocky outcropping with beautiful sand beaches on either side. We snorkeled and caught crayfish for dinner right off the beach. We did not have any transportation, but it was an easy walk to the settlement. The units were very nicely decorated and comfortable. We have not returned there recently although we will likely go back there again in the future.
I am sorry I can't give you more specifics since it has been so long since we were there. Hopefully someone else will reply who has more recent experience.

This is in reply to a guest requesting info on Schooner's Landing Resort.
I would just like to share my delightful experience during my stay as a guest.
My family and I visited the Abacos last year, and stayed on Man-O-War Cay. We were guests at Schooner's Landing. We had a wonderful time. The natives are extremely friendly and are very courteous. Schooner's Landing offers great packages. They arranged a package deal for us with a boat rental and a golf cart rental. We didnt have to go through all that, they arranged all of that for us. They are located on the northern side of the island with great beach access, plus they have a fresh water pool and laundrymat on the premises. We were treated great and have plans to go back next year.
The island is rich in boatbuilding history and the people are great, and Schooner's Landing is the place to stay.
