Have not stayed at that exact house, but at one of the houses across the street. The area is beautiful... fantastic views, a nice secluded beach, not a lot of boat traffic, or even golf cart traffic for that matter. Do note that your golf cart is good until you get to the north end of town, then you must park it and walk through town, as well as anywhere south. Sometimes it is worth it to rent a golf cart to keep on the other side of town if you want to go to Tahiti beach or someplace on the other side of the island.

We plan on visiting Elbow Cay for the first time and we are renting a house in this area. Our house comes with a golf cart, but we are confused about the golf cart restrictions on the island. Can anyone provide some information about this? Thank you.

Staying on the north end you can use your golf cart to get as far as the ball field, then only foot traffic within the settlement. The recommendation of another cart to keep south of the settlement is a great idea if you plan to go south often. Do keep in mind that the Abaco Inn (which is south) will pick you up if you want to dine there.

You may drive a golf cart anywhere but in the village. It will be very apparent to you when you get there. South end has more roads and places to drive to, but as mentioned before, Abaco Inn will come get you. The rest you can walk to

Has anyone stayed at Leeside on the NorthEnd on Elbow Cay?My family stayed there a couple of years ago. Great and private little spot. The beach is great. Wonderful poarch if the bugs aren't out. Kitchen and other facilities very good with bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. It's a hike to town.

I'd definitely rent a cart to keep on the other side of town so that you can explore the southern end of the island. There is so much to see south of town. Although most restaurants will pick you up in town, you have to be prepared to leave when they are ready. We had to hurry dinners or after dinner drinks a couple of times. It's much nicer to have the freedom to go at your own pace.
I'd also recommend Rudy's one night for dinner and Tahiti beach at the southernmost point of the island.

I have rented in both spots North End is seclusion, private like beaches and no traffic or trucks, very nice.
South is roads to cruise and bars to visit and traffic and trucks galore, kids have to be very careful,
Every business in the south you want to visit will pick you up . If you rent a boat you can get to sea spray, abaco inn, and tahiti by boat. I think a second cart is overkill. You would not use it much i'm sure. Maybe get it for one day.

Traffic & trucks galore?!???? You must have been staying on a differnet island. It is the most peaceful & calm place I know of.

The only truck I remember seeing MOVING on the island was the Abaco Inn truck! And thats because we asked them to take us back!!
