View Full Version : Hi, need help in getting from the Marsh Harbour Airport to Green Turtle Cay marina

Hi, need help in getting from the Marsh Harbour Airport to Green Turtle Cay marina. My sister an I will be staying at the Green Turtle Cay on my brother's boat. We need to fly into, all I can find is that we should take a taxi. But I was wondering if there is any other way.

Depending on the airline, you can fly into Treasure Cay and then take the ferry to GTC. If you can't fly into Treasure Cay you will have to take a taxi there and catch the ferry. Orrr...your brother could bring his boat to Marsh Harbour.

There IS a bus, the Great Abaco Express, that leaves MH around 12:30. I've never used it but have seen it coming and going. Their phone number is 367-2165. If that works with your arrival time, it would be convenient for getting you to the 1:30 GTC ferry.
It's seriously easier to arrive at the Treasure Cay airport, tho, if you can get/change your tickets.

Well I am using my frequent flyers for American Airlines, originally we were booked for Nassau, my brother's first stop was Green Turtle Cay marina, he loves it so much he decided to stay for the rest of the next 2 months. So I didn't have too much choice. I guess I will take a taxi to GTC ferry. We don't get in until 1:30 pm.

I really like the idea of your brother coming to get you by boat.

Another option would be for him to take the ferry from GTC and rent a car from OC Cornish at the airport. He could pick you up and then you could have lunch, do a shop up, buy supplies for the boat, or just tour the Marsh Harbour or Treasure Cay area by car.

Need to make it back by 5:30 PM for the last ferry from GTC ferry dock to GTC.

Actually, even though I suggested your brother bringing his boat, the passages to and from GTC can be unpassable for long periods so it is sooo much better to have alternative modes in place. The idea about the rental car was great. Your brother is right, there's a lot to love about Green Turtle. We always fly American and luckily your flight is late enough that you don't have to worry about staying on the mainland (Great Abaco) the night before you leave.
