Flights from Nassau to Treasure Cay

Some relatives of ours were trying to book a flight from Nassau to Treasure Cay for our wedding in May, but were told that Bahamasair and Abaco Air aren't flying into TC at that time and wouldn't resume flights till June.

However, they were told flights from the US were going to continue into Treasure Cay during that time.

This is the first I've heard of this. Anyone know anything? If it's as a result of some sort of work being done at the TC airport, how come flights from the US can still come in?

Find Bahamas Air and check availability for days in May. I haven't heard anything about Bahamasair suspending flights in May!( I hope not, because the Island Roots Heritage Festival is in May.) However, Bahamasair does not fly into Treasure Cay every day. They fly in on Friday, Sunday and Monday...check the website!

Hey there. I checked the Bahamasair website last night (their reservation line was closed when I heard this lovely news!) and they are still showing all the Monday, Fri, Sun flights in May.

Honestly, I believe my aunt either misunderstood or was given incorrect info, but I'll sleep better when I know for sure. We've got probably 20 people coming in from Nassau and I'd hate for them to all have to fly into MH and cab it up to TC.

I'll post as soon as I hear any more. :-)

Sorry, Abacopotcake, seems to have been some sort of misunderstanding. I just got off the phone with Bahamasair, who informs me that, to their knowledge, all flights between Nassau and TC are running as normal during May. Not sure where my aunt got her info, but thankfully, it doesn't seem to be accurate.
