Yes, BUT....

The Customs agent is not there every day. If you think you can pull in, tie up, clear, and leave, you may or may not be able to do that, depending on whether he is on site or not.

Last year we pulled into Spanish on a Monday afternoon and were not able to clear until Wednesday morning. The dockmaster advised us to host the Bahamian Courtesy flag, and that we could cruise the area, but that we had to clear Wednesday morning when the official would be present.

You may want to call ahead and confirm when he'll be there.

Suggest you e-mail Suzanne at Spanishcay@aol.com and ask her if the Bahamas Customs agent will be on the island when you intend to arrive. Rememeber, it is slow season at the moment.

Don't know if you are going by Walkers but Customs is still open there. Nothing else is open though.

Steve--with the weather turning the way it is, Walker's will probably be where we clear; want to check it out & then can stay @ Double Breasted before heading down to the Abacos.

I am going to Walkers in the morning and will check with them to be sure Customs is going to remain open.
