Lets say you live in the states and want to move to Abaco island , how in the heck can you go about doing so? How can I get oput of the states and move to Guana Cay? How are the job opportunities there? Any comment is a plus. Thanks so much!

Almost impossible to get a work visa unless you have a unique skill which cannot be done by a Bahamian, or if there is a shortage of Bahamian's with your skill.
... even then chances its not going to happen. You can own a business but you'd have to get residency and have a lot of cash invested in the Bahamas first then you still have to get work permits. its not easy. Good luck!

Don't plan to find work in the Bahamas anytime soon. They don't want foreigners taking jobs away from Bahamians and will make it next to impossible for any employer to hire you.
You do have a chance at employment if you have a much needed skill or profession. For example, doctors and school teachers were very much in demand when I lived in Nassau. Not sure what the market is like for these professions in the Abacos.
You can enjoy a very active retirement in the Bahamas, but plan to volunteer your services, not be paid for them.
