View Full Version : GTC Bank Apartments
I have a friend coming down for Christmas. Would this do for a single person for about a week? Any other suggestions?

i've had friends stay at the bank apartments and they were quite happy there. it would be perfect for a single person. if your friend is renting a golf cart, make sure it is gas as there is really no place to plug in a charger. just get in touch with susan roberts and she can give you all the details.

I stayed at the apts. in '01 for a week of fishing. They are fine for a single person looking for no frills lodging. At the time, there was a small fridge and radio in the room.

Absolutely! My fiance and I stayed there last Christmas for 9 days. There are 3 apartments - I think 2 of them are 2-bedrooms (or at least, they sleep more people) but there's a 1-bedroom with just a double bed. That was what we had. It's more like a hotel room, with a nice-sized bathroom, plus a/c, a coffee maker, small fridge and microwave. But it was exceptionally clean, in a great location and was more than enough for us. And, of course, it was quite reasonably priced. And, there's a phone in the common area for all three apartments to share.
Agree with Seabiscuit - a gas cart is better since there's nowhere to plug in an electric... your friend can park it near the government dock.
Thanks all. We usually get a gas cart. I was just trying to find her a place in town near us that is inexpensive.

Myra, just back in town in time to wish y'all a great time on Elbow this weekend. Sorry Cracker P's is not open, but we'll be there from Dec 30-Jan 6th. So either come visit or we'll bring you some fish dip for Junkanoo. Its going to cool this weekend, but that is a great change from summer. Have a great time.
