I remember reading somewhere about a place that had really good muffins, pastries, etc in Treasure Cay. Can anyone tell me the name of it?

Thanks!

Right in the little strip of shops near the hotel (not where you are but down the street) office. Looks like a little coffee shop....but that's the "bakery" :)

Tell us all about Bahama Beach Club please?

It is "dowtown Treasure Cay".

The pay phones and conveniance store are on the east end and the hardware store is on the west end. Cafe La Florence is in the middle near the west end. Just look for the morning crowd. I think it opens at 7:00 am or there abouts and is open until 7:00pm or so. She cooks various stuff, just inquire in advabce when you are there.

It is about 3 or 4 blocks to the north of Bahamas Beach Club, before you get to Solomon's grocery.

Gloria at the conveniance store will cook you a full sheet of macaroni&cheese if you let her know in advance otherwise check in before noon to get it by the slice.

Tell both them I said hello.

Also try Florence's Johnny bread. Yummy. Usually around noon we were able to get a warm loaf. Great with the Irish butter from the grocery store. Keep in mind that Florence's is the strip of stores near the convenience store and hardware store. Very friendly lady. You can also buy lobster from her.

Love Bahama Beach Club! We are in a 4 BR condo and it is fabulous! The beach here is beautiful and we are having a great time. They have a swim up bar, free wifi and free vonage phone service. The people here are the nicest we've met anywhere. At night, they have let us take the vonage phone to the room with us to call home - what more can you say???

Went to Florence's this morning, but they had sold out of cinammon rolls.....long sigh....

we asked if we could reserve some cimmamon bread for tomorrow, but (as it should be...) she said first come....you know the drill...

Could not be happier with Bahama Beach Club. Apparently, we came came before a lot of the restaurants opened (first time here). We tried to buy fresh fish at Marsh Harbor, but they didn't have any - anybody know where we can buy some???

Love this place - already -planning our next trip here!!!!

Thanks Aab! I have been to TC many times but my wife and I are gonna be there in January staying at Beach Club. I've walked through it but never stayed there before and was looking for info.

Try asking some of the guys (locals) that hang at Florences' in the AM for a source on fresh fish.

Does Beach Club have a grill one can use?

We found it VERY difficult to buy fish. Florence can help and sometimes some of the taxi drivers. But I think Florence's son Trevor (Travis, we call him both) he has been a guide to us our first trip and I believe he can help get fish. If you are lucky someone going fishing might sell you some, but we were never lucky! So we ended up buying lobster from Florence and fish in MH. There are 2 fish markets there. Look in the phone directory that is probably in your room. They also sold conch salad if you like that. Hope the weather and water is cooperating for you. Enjoy!

P.S. Wouldn't it be great if they opened a fish market next to Florence's where the laundromat use to be????? (hint! hint!)

they have several grills that you can use (we did last night!). We bought charcoal only to find out that it was gas! Again, cannot rave about this place enough. Our icemaker had not been hooked up, so they brought us bags of ice from the pool bar....
